Saag Recipes and Cooking Method
A**History of Saag:**
Saag is a traditional dish widely consumed in the Indian subcontinent, especially in regions like Punjab, Bengal, and Nepal. The word "saag" refers to leafy greens such as spinach, mustard greens, fenugreek, or collard greens, which are the key ingredients in the dish. Historically, it was a staple in rural areas due to the availability of these greens, especially in winter. The preparation of saag has been a part of Indian culinary traditions for centuries, symbolizing simplicity, nutrition, and the connection between people and agriculture.
